Bebo great or not so great?

i have been with bebo the international social network for 2 years this has kept me in touch with friends from schools and even nursery! and is a great website for sharing my new pictures and and my blogs. But recently one of my friends were targeted threw bebo and was part of a hate campaign and suffered racism. they have now been in touch with the members of bebo and the matter has been delt with but it was horrible for my friend. For people to go threw a website!


My question to you guys would be should more be done to preven this from happening again to innocent people?


And you opinions on bebo?

that sucks what they did to ur frend...jus tell her to get her profile off "public" domain by changing the settings of her profile page - click on the option that ensures that her profile remains private and only viewable by her freinds - this prevents her page from being veiwed by any tom dick n harry lurkin the site - plus this option also keeps her off the database...so peeps wont be able to search for her beboname/id - oh and tell her to also change the settings of her profile so that she FIRST must review comments BEFORE they are posted on her page - this way, she can filter out any unwanted crap from haterz!!

it has grown on me though its essayer than my space to work and people can stay in touch with you all over the place.


I'm sorry to here about your friend there is away to prevent that from happening tho to make your page Private.


racism is the most horrid thing anyone can suffer, i feel. So my advice is to get her to make her page Private.

Reply:Bebo is just another way to communicate. The fact that it is more or less open for public viewing just leaves it open to bullying and racism. This however is yet another example of how small minded people will use any way to push their weight around. Bullys will be there always and will use any medium available, it's not just through bebo but through every possible way.
